The joy of the first (sa) dhyāna heaven, in which the defilement of desire is left far behind in mystic contemplation.

遠離樂者， 即初禪天之樂也。 謂初禪能遠離欲界愛染煩惱， 得覺觀禪定， 而生喜樂也。 （覺觀者， 初心在緣曰覺， 細心分別禪味曰觀也。 ）
